Year 4
Welcome to Year 4
In Year 4 we take pride in our children becoming more confident, resilient and independent learners. We will continue to build on the skills that they learnt in Year 3 to enable them to achieve their dreams. We will help them to achieve this by providing a safe and calm space in which they can learn.
We pride ourselves, as a year group, on the kind and caring attitude shown by our pupils to both the children and adults within their class and to others they meet around the school. Although current restrictions mean the classes do not meet during the day we still work together closely as a team and share their learning achievements for the entire year group to celebrate.
It is important that pupils arrive to school on time so that they are ready to start their learning journey. Whilst they are completing their early morning learning a member of staff will check to see they are OK and help them with any misconceptions they have had from the previous day's learning.
We love to celebrate their achievements through messages sent home on Studybugs and Dojo, certificates and stickers. Please help us to celebrate these successes by talking to your child about what they have done to receive this praise. Reading is now recorded on the 'Learning with Parents' app. We encourage all children to read for at least 10 minutes, four times a week. You can add photos, videos, voice notes or just write a message about how they read. Children are also expected to complete their 10 TTRockstars sessions at home per week.
If you need to contact us in any way then please either pass a message over on the door or to one of the Senior Leaders on the playground. We will then either contact you via a phone call or if possible face to face. You can also send message to us on Studybugs or Dojo.
